Peter M. Curtis - President/CEO
Peter Curtis is the founder of Power Management Concepts, LLC.
He is a 1983 graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Electro-Mechanical Computer Technology.
Mr. Curtis received his Master of Science degree in Energy Management
from New York Institute of Technology in 1994. Mr. Curtis has over
twenty years of experience working in the Mission Critical Facilities
Engineering industry in the areas of Banking and Finance, Defense,
Electric and Water Utilities, Energy Management and Education. His
strengths include in-depth knowledge of computer-integrated systems,
extensive utilization of on-line interface, and facilities operations-maintenance
management expertise.
As Vice President of Critical Systems at Bankers Trust Company,
Senior Engineer at Securities Industry Automation Company (SIAC),
and as Superintendent of Electrical Construction at Suffolk County
Water Authority, Mr. Curtis was responsible for critical systems,
energy and data center engineering, and construction & preventative
maintenance for multi-megawatt and multi-terabyte infrastructures.
These infrastructures supported LAN, mid-range & main frame
hardware for various multi-billion dollar business lines.
He is also an Associate Professor at New York Institute of Technology
and New York University where he provides the following on-line
and onsite educational courses: Facilities Operations and Management
(with an emphasis in critical infrastructure); Energy Management;
Energy Equipment Assessment; Fundamentals of Building Systems; and
Energy Efficient Lighting. Mr. Curtis is a keynote speaker at semiannual
conferences for the following organizations: 7 x 24 Exchange, International
Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Association of Facilities
Engineers (AFE) and Data Center Dynamics.
Mr. Curtis is a principal author for the IEEE where he has written
an online book regarding Mission Critical Facilities Engineering
and is currently working on a second book titled Maintaining Mission
Critical Systems in a 24/7 Environment. His memberships include
7 x 24 Exchange, Association for Facilities Engineers, Institute
of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, International Electrical
and Testing Association, International Facility Management Association,
as well as the Association of Energy Engineers.
Thomas R. Weingarten, P.E. -
Director of Operations
Mr. Weingarten has over 26 years of mission critical industry experience
in the management, engineering, design, construction and operation
of high reliability facilities. Tom has served in senior leadership,
project management, engineering and operations roles for major financial,
banking, facility service, securities industry and utility corporations
which include expertise with data processing centers, trading floors,
power generation and electrical/mechanical infrastructure.
As Senior Vice-President, Global Critical Systems of J.P. Morgan
Chase, he managed the firm's mission critical portfolio and directed
a staff of 100 in asset management, reliability engineering, infrastructure
projects, compliance, and production assurance. In his role as Director
of the Mission Critical Facilities Program at EMCOR Facilities Services
he led the mission critical design, operation and maintenance consulting
initiative for J.P.Morgan Chase/Bank One's $500 million construction
of three (3) new Tier IV data centers providing design input, construction
consulting and development of the operations and staffing plan,
hiring all key staff assuring a smooth transition from construction
to operations. He served as Senior Vice-President, Property Management
& Critical Systems Engineering of Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney
where he managed global construction and operation of the firm's
critical environments and managed more than 6 million square feet
of property. As Vice-President, Critical Support Systems For Deutsche
Bank formerly Bankers Trust) he provided global engineering, design,
construction, installation, testing and maintenance services to
the Bank's key locations. Prior to that he held engineering and
management positions at Securities Industry Automation Corporation
(SIAC) where he provided computer hardware configuration, acquisition
and installation expertise and at Keyspan (formerly LILCO) where
he performed engineering, construction and start up of nuclear power
plant, natural gas and wastewater treatment facilities.
Mr. Weingarten is a licensed Professional Engineer and earned his
B.S.E.E from Polytechnic Institute of New York and his M.B.A. from
Adelphi University. He is a member of the 7x24 Exchange, the Institute
of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE), the Power Engineering
Society (PES) and the Industry Applications Group (IAG).
Michael Fluegeman, P.E. - Director
of Engineering
Michael Fluegeman is a registered Professional Engineer with 25
years of power experience. He is recognized nationally as a leading
engineering consultant for critical facilities. He leads the West
Coast PMC team based in Los Angeles, CA and has extensive hands
on experience including conceptual design, project management, construction
support, business development, commissioning and operations assistance
of electrical as well as integrated critical support systems.
Prior to Joining PMC in early 2006, he was Vice President and Principal
of Critical Facilities at Syska Hennessy Group, where he was the
technical team leader of the national critical facilities group
delivering multiple design-build projects across the country. His
previous engagements include PRK Associates, as a senior project
engineer where he led new business development and managed engineering
projects. At Emerson / Liebert, he was the western region sales
manager, consistently meeting growth targets over a period of six
years.
Michael is currently a speaker at industry conferences like the
Data Center Users’ Group and the 7x24 Exchange. He is a graduate
of the University of Cincinnati Engineering, Electrical power, and
a member of IEEE and the 7x24 Exchange.
Eduardo Browne - Executive Vice President
Eduardo has been involved in providing technology solutions to
the critical infrastructure market for over 18 years. Prior to joining
PMC he established and managed several companies with a strong focus
on strategic partnerships and key relationships with fortune 500
companies. He contributed to develop, promote and execute a commercially
viable Fuel Cell business. He successfully started two information
technology enterprises, leading business development including building
e-business solutions for corporate and government clients.
He is an engineer and holds degrees from the State University of
New York and Syracuse University.
He is a senior founding partner of Sophos Partners, LLC in New
York, where he was responsible for the firms Business Development
and International Partnership practice.
Kenneth Burke - Director of
Technology
Mr. Burke is responsible for technology operations, education,
training, customer support and driving future product development
of PMC’s M.C. Access™ technology.
Most recently, Mr. Burke was an independent consultant and advisor
in the areas of technical support, outsourcing, relevant technologies
to improve productivity as well as improving customer experience.
As Vice President of Technical Customer Support for Computer Associates
International, he led a staff of over 300 supporting end-to-end
customer satisfaction for approximately 25,000 clients in all US
and Latin America. In the 19 years Ken spent with Computer Associates,
he was responsible for various key management positions in technical
support, quality assurance, marketing and the corporate datacenter.
J. Barry Thompson - Technical Advisor
For the past fifteen years, J. Barry Thompson has spliced bleeding-edge
technology with turnaround/change management and investment strategies
to make some of the largest firms in the financial services industry
run faster. Mr. Thompson joined PMC as Technical Advisor in July
2003. Before joining PMC, he spent a year incubating startups specializing
in high volume high security applications within emerging technical
markets.
Prior, he was head of North American Architecture for UBS Warburg,
a post he took over in 2000 when UBS acquired PaineWebber. Mr. Thompson
determined technology directions for business units, sought out new
partners with expertise in emergent technologies, implemented new
market data technologies, and, through UBS Capital, sourced deals and
served as a board advisor for portfolio companies.
Previously, Mr. Thompson overhauled New York- and London-based
systems for NatWest Global Financial Markets, designed trading systems
for AIG Trading Group. He also developed solutions for clients who
include MCI Telecommunications, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission,
and other government agencies.
William F. Leone, CPA - Chief Financial
Officer
Bill is a senior founding partner of Sophos Partners, LLC in New York,
where heads the firm's financial and accounting consulting practice.
He has worked with numerous companies in helping them raise capital,
restructure, and institute timely and meaningful financial reporting.
As President of WSI Holding Corporation, Bill has invested in various
public, private and startup companies. As CEO of Waste Services,
Inc., he was responsible for building the company into a $25 million
environmental service firm by acquisition and business development.
Prior to WSI he was with KPMG Peat Marwick. Bill is a director,
investor and/or advisor to various companies including PaintingsDIRECT
Inc., GameTrust LLC., and Electric Battery Corp. Mr. Leone is a
certified public accountant with a B.S. in Accounting from Manhattan
College and an M.B.A. from New York University.
Enrique A. Chaparro - Director of Critical Infrastructure Solutions
Enrique Chaparro has over twenty five years in the field of Information Technology. Since 1986, he has focused on design and
implementation of large scale, mission critical technology solutions and solving Information Security issues for governmental agencies
and Fortune 500 corporations.
Enrique has worked as an expert for multilateral organizations including World Bank,
InterAmerican Development Bank and the United Nations Development Programme since 1989, helping governmental organizations
in the design, procurement and deployment of critical information systems. As a computer security specialist, he designed and reviewed
information security systems for military and civilian agencies of several countries, and for large corporations mainly in the banking
and finance sector.
A frequent lecturer on information security and free/open source software, he presented at conferences in universities
located in Latin America, the US and Europe. He served on the Program Committees for numerous international information security conferences.
Enrique is a member of professional organizations in his field, including IACR(International Association of Cryptologic
Research) and the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Security and Privacy, and served as the Argentina country representative
in Technical Committee 11 of the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP).
Enrique holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and post-graduate degrees in the same
field from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and from Royal Holloway - University of London, Egham, Surrey, UK.
