CEO’s
/ President’s Message
We at Power Management Concepts, LLC (PMC) recognize the impact
of the increased digital society critical infrastructure requirements,
technology developments, global mergers/acquisitions, and the challenges
of the mission critical industry’s diluted workforce.
Plug-and-play is not an option when critical infrastructure is
deployed. In fact, a process blending science and art is needed
to successfully design, procure, construct, commission and “transition
to operation” these complex systems. Reliability and facility
infrastructure health is not guaranteed simply by investing in and
installing new equipment. Unexpected failures can compromise even
the most robust facility infrastructure if appropriate testing,
maintenance and due diligence techniques are not employed. Our comprehensive
engineering, technology, and educational services provide solutions
that are effective far beyond the traditional mission critical equipment
lifecycle, strategically positioning our clients to adapt to the
needs of the evolving 24/7 digital economy.
Today, it’s imperative that the Mission Critical Industry
develop an all encompassing roadmap that incorporates a robust maintainable/operational
critical infrastructure that will keep business reliable, resilient,
safe, and secure in the wake of both natural and manmade disasters
that we face everyday. Organizations need to withstand and be prepared
for unforeseen disruptions. The next evolution of engineering deliverables
must allow clients to keep pace with the shifting business environment.
The business model of a 24/7 environment mandates an enterprise
leverage its intellectual assets or Corporate DNA. This invaluable
knowledge is completely lost when a seasoned employee leaves the
company or business cultures are blended due to corporate mergers
and acquisitions.
Over the next two decades the electrical grid will need significant
upgrade and overhaul to support the acute power requirements to
keep our digital economy operating. The infrastructure built for
the analog society over 50 years ago is the backbone that has kept
our economy humming through the last half-century. Revamping the
electrical infrastructure will take our country through its next
phase of growth. The previous two decades of developments in technology
and information systems must be examined to provide a glimpse of
the capacity, redundancy, operational requirements our new design
model must incorporate. The plan will need to be flexible, maintainable,
and available to meet the energy requirements for a nonstop environment.
PMC has developed the necessary engineering, technology, educational
tools along with our business relationships to provide the next
generation of reliability to meet the challenges of this new era.
